Michael Watson founded LeechGuard to give creators and families a practical way to find and remove stolen content.
A United States Marine Corps veteran, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, then spent twelve years in operations and earned certification in lean management, the discipline of stripping waste out of complex processes. That thinking shapes the product directly. LeechGuard automates the searching, evidence gathering and takedown paperwork that would otherwise cost someone hours every week.
He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He has also won a federal civil rights case against a municipality which he litigated pro se, and the judgment was upheld on appeal. This has helped guide him toward providing low cost options to resolve a problem when people think there is nothing they can do. Through integrity and consistency, he believes in doing the right thing.
